Ready. Set. Ready. — May 2026 Cohort

$150

This 4-part series is designed to prepare yourself and your home for the effects of climate change and the instability of the times we’re living in—from wild weather, to wildfire, to whatever comes your way.

Wednesdays beginning May 13 (4PM Pacific/7PM Eastern/11 PM UTC)

Over the course of four 90-minute live Zoom sessions we’ll cover:

  • Emergency Basics (May 13): Where to start and how to prepare without it taking over your whole life.

  • Water Plan (May 20): What to do when you can’t drink what’s coming out of the tap.

  • Pantry Plan (May 27): What to stock, what not to.

  • Emergency Kit Plan (June 3): A strategic approach to gathering tools and resources to have on hand.

The course also includes the Come What Mayday Emergency Essentials bundle. Already own it? Not to worry, we’ll send you a code you can share with a neighbor or friend so they can benefit too!

This course is taught by Annie, the creator of Come What Mayday who is CERT trained and has been an educator for over twenty years.

Class size is intentionally kept to 15 or less participants to ensure individualized support throughout the class.

week 1: emergency basics: where to start and how to prepare without it taking over your whole life
week 2: water plan: what to do when you can't drink what's coming out of the tap
week 3: pantry plan: what to stock. what not to.
week 4: emergency kit: tools and resources to help you weather the effects of climate change and more.

What You’ll Walk Away with…

After these four sessions, you’ll have a clear, personalized plan. This is not just a Pinterest board of ideas or a pile of checklists from all corners of the internet to try to make sense of, but a realistic, right-sized approach that fits your life, your household, and your budget.

You'll know exactly what to do first, and how to map what you need to do next.

You’ll learn what’s wise to have on hand, and what not to waste your money on.

You'll go from that low-grade "I should probably do something" worry to "I've got a plan."

And because this isn't a massive webinar where you're just another face in the crowd, you'll get answers to your specific questions—your apartment, your family, your neighborhood, your situation.

If that sounds like what you need, I hope to see you there!

Words from previous participants…

“Annie's preparedness classes and materials are brilliant. She's very attuned to how overwhelming this prep work can be and does an amazing job helping people break through that overwhelm, breaking things down into doable chunks, and understanding how to prioritize and where to begin.”

— Lauren W., Portland, OR

“I am materially more prepared for multiple types of disasters and have shared insights and product recommendations with friends. I also enjoyed Annie’s presentation style so much that I invited two friends to join me at her next workshop. I’ll continue to share Come What Mayday as the most efficient way to prepare for emergencies that we recognize are becoming are increasingly common.”

— Sarah G., Washington, D.C.

“WOW!! This course was so encouraging. It gave me so many tools and helped me come up with plans that fit my life. I had been feeling stuck when it came to preparing for severe weather emergencies or the potential for other disasters even though I knew it was important. This helped me get past my overwhelm and get going. I’m happy to say that I have a water plan now, a new way of thinking about food in my cupboards, and strategies for when the heat or air conditioning are out to name a few. This helped me realize there’s a lot more that’s in my control to prepare for and that is a relief. Highly recommend.”

Come What Mayday Reviews…

  • "Going through the material it feels like I am being guided with humour, with compassion, with care and with so much wisdom. Even in the sections were I am personally the most underprepared, I was able to clearly see where the gaps were, and what to work on moving forward without any feelings of anxiety. "

  • "This feels like getting advice from a friend in a way that makes getting more prepared feel a lot less daunting."

  • "Really easy to understand, calm and thorough info. I like the printable checklists and instructions!"

  • "This resource is unlike anything else I’ve come across; a guide that not only wants you to be safe and well, but that also encourages you to bring others alongside in that journey."

  • “Reading through these resources I think healed a little part of me. Lol. Perhaps a bit dramatic but this stuff is emotional! It’s heavy! And I think that feeling of my younger self feeling heard and seen in wanting to be prepared is just such a shining testament to what is going on here, like you cupped my little face in your hands and told me we’ve got this.”

  • "This might be the most important "I didn't even know I needed this but now can't live without it" item I've ever been gifted? As someone who's a go-getter in most areas of my life but gets really overwhelmed thinking about climate change, I can't tell you how many times I've told myself I'm finally going to get more prepared only to stop before I even start. The intro, playbooks, and checklists that you get here are so comprehensive and offer way more than I could have anticipated without being too overwhelming."

  • "The term "prepper" has always made me think of a very specific type of person that looks nothing like me, but these materials have challenged that conditioning in the best way. You don't have to live alone in the woods, own a bunch of guns, and hoard canned goods to be prepared for the events of life that most of us would rather not think about. This is for busy parents, city and suburbs people, disabled and chronically ill people, those who live alone, those living in multigenerational homes, and so on. With these materials, you get real, actionable advice from a knowledgeable person who seems to earnestly want as many of us as possible to be ready to take care of ourselves and each other through the things we want to believe aren't real...but that we know *are* real."

  • "I think many of us have arrived at a point in which we're aware that we need to be prepared for emergency situations and climate catastrophe but have no idea where to begin, and the thought of even starting to prepare makes us feel like we're somehow speeding up the horrors. (Am I projecting here? Who's to say.) This is worth the small investment. It's not just a bunch of information to read; it's a step-by-step guide that you can follow as strictly or as loosely as makes sense for you according to your time, energy, and budget."
